STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. The NYPD is asking for the public’s help to identify a woman sought for questioning in connection with the theft of jewelry from a victim in an alleged scam in Meiers Corners.
A complaint report was filed for a grand larceny in the incident on April 5 at about 6 p.m. in the vicinity of Livingston Avenue and Holden Boulevard, according to a spokeswoman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
A 69-year-old woman told police that she was taking out the garbage when a gray Nissan pulled up in front of her and an unidentified female asked the victim if she wanted to buy a necklace, the police spokeswoman said.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A knock at the door led to a frightening home invasion where a younger man was beaten and restrained with zip ties while the raiders demanded money from a senior in Bulls Head, according to police.
Now the NYPD is asking for the public’s help to locate a car that detectives are looking for in connection with the incident that occurred on Feb. 25 at about 6:30 p.m. inside a home in the vicinity of Dawson Circle and Arlene Street, according to a spokeswoman for the NYPD and a post on the 121st Precinct Twitter feed.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. The NYPD is asking for tips via social media to solve the gunpoint robbery of a man delivering food a week ago in West Brighton.
The suspects then fled in a white BMW, according to the flyer.
