A State Trooper today came to the rescue of a bald eagle spotted by a passing motorist on the shoulder of Route 17 in Orange County.
According to State Police, a motorist contacted its Middletown Barracks to report the injured bird on the side of the highway in the town of Blooming Grove. Trooper Bryan Whalen responded to the scene.
