Santa Clarita City Council To Discuss Bail, Sand Canyon Resort In Tuesday Meeting
The Santa Clarita City Council is set to take action on the waiving of monetary bail and the construction of the Sand Canyon Resort in a Tuesday meeting.
The city council is scheduled to touch on these topics, along with redistricting, an inclusive play area and other subjects during their meeting on July 13.
On Tuesday, the city council is slated to address Senate Bill 262 from the California State Senate, which would waive monetary bail for all misdemeanors and some felonies.

The bill would set bail at $0 for qualifying offenses, meaning those accused of a criminal offense with $0 bail would be booked by authorities, given a court date then released and asked to arrive at court to be tried.
