DEC offering more than 50 species of low-cost tree and shrub seedlings during annual spring sale

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. The state Department of Environmental Conservation is once again offering its annual spring tree and shrub seedling sale, with more than 50 species available for purchase from the Col. William Fox Memorial Saratoga Tree Nursery.
“For more than 100 years, DEC’s tree nursery in Saratoga has helped reforest New York by providing seedlings for conservation plantings across the state,” DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos said. “This annual spring sale is a chance for the public to take part in this tradition by obtaining winter-hardy trees and shrubs for their property.”
