but let s put that on the screen, physical, emotional, psychological abuse, financial, sexual abuse, neglect, abandonment. does every state need something like shirley s law? absolutely. everyone does. and i am so proud of alabama. the date governor ivey signed that law good triumphs over evil. and i want all states to note they can do that as well. mike: it strikes me for generations families all lived in a similar area close by. but now with jobs and stuff like they ve got family members moving to all different parts of the country. any advice to folks who have an elderly mom, dad, aunts, uncle about what they can do to help protect their loved one?

initiatives pushed to prevent voters from voting here in arizona including voter i.d. laws. and so right now as we re getting ready to start a new legislative session, there are new bills popping up to further reduce the access to vote here in arizona. and so i was proud to be included in the list of mayors throughout the country that are pleading with our u.s. senators to do everything they absolutely need to do to preserve our democracy and one of the pillars of our democracy which is the access to voting. mayor, what in your view does your city does your state need for the next elections in 2022 and 2024 to preemptively
