Students from Bottineau High School won the State LifeSmarts championship on Wednesday in Bismarck and will be representing North Dakota in the national competition in April. Bottineau team members include Kristy Coleman, Brad Medlang, Kaleb Wintermute, and Aanya Kuma. Jaclyn Zorn coached the team.
The Jamestown High school team took second place and Burke Central High School students took third place.
The LifeSmarts competition tests students on their general knowledge in five subjects: personal finance, health and safety, the environment, technology, and consumer rights and responsibilities. The competition is in its 25th year.
