Velvet Brown, David P. Stone Chair and associate director for equity, diversity and inclusion in the College of Arts and Architecture’s School of Music, has been named the Penn State Laureate for the 2022-23 academic year.
The Penn State Forum Speaker Series has announced two events for spring 2022, featuring Penn State Laureates Shara McCallum on April 18 and Dave Witwer on April 5.
Penn State Laureate Shara McCallum will visit Penn State Behrend to read from her poetry on Wednesday, Oct. 6. The program, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 6 p.m. in Metzgar Center.
Current Penn State Laureate Shara McCallum, Edwin Erle Sparks Professor of English, has been awarded the prestigious silver Musgrave Medal from the Institute of Jamaica.
