Please join us for an artist talk with Fiona Wong, ceramic artist, curator, and Senior Lecturer at the Hong Kong Art School on Wednesday June 9 at 1 - 2 pm Melbourne/ 11am - 12 noon Hong Kong. ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Fiona Wong Lai Ching is a renowned and well-respected ceramic artist in Hong Kong. She was selected as the Artist of the Year (Visual Arts) in the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2017. She received a Starr Foundation award from the Asian Cultural Council in 2000 and was elected member of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva in 2007. She has been appointed Expert Advisor for Hong Kong Museums since 2014. In a study conducted by researchers at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), cumulative opioid use was reduced by 30% in a patient group that received duloxetine after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) compared with patients who received placebo. Patients who received duloxetine also reported higher pain management satisfaction and less pain interference with mood, walking, normal sleep, and work activities. These findings were presented at the 2021 Spring American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA) Annual Meeting.
