CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - COVID-19 cases surged to a new record on Saturday.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services reported a single-day record of 11,581 new COVID-19 cases.
In addition, NCDHHS is reporting 84 of the state’s 100 counties are in the red meaning they have a critically high level of spreading COVID-19.
