Today I went to a church service that was designed for spreading the covid virus. After the first two songs i could smell the difference in the air. What the people there did not realize is that putting 100 people in room big enough for 400 can still be deadly even if they are wearing masks and distanced. The problem is singing, it gets people to empty the lungs and others in the room get to breathe the covid breath. Fortunately i was vaccinated.

HUNTINGTON â Construction continues on a new 5 Star Car Wash at the old Bojanglesâ restaurant building on 16th Street, just off the Hal Greer Boulevard exit on Interstate 64 across from Kinetic Park.
It will be the second location in Huntington, according to owners Scott and Laya Hutchison, presidents of Star Car Wash LLC.
âWe also have a location on 3rd Avenue in Huntington,â Scott Hutchison said. âItâs across from the Marshall football stadium. Itâs the only full-service wash in the area with detailing services.â
The couple also recently opened a new location in Ashland to go with locations in Maysville, Kentucky; South Point, Ohio; and Hurricane, Charleston and Huntington in West Virginia.

The National Weather Service maintains a Significant Weather Events Archive that goes back to 2010. In that time, it lists six storms officially classified as blizzards in southern Connecticut.
Of course, the infamous Feb. 6, 1978, Storm of the Century is missing, as is the granddaddy of them all, the March 11, 1888, Great New England Blizzard.
The storm that is just arriving in our area now may make these seem so, well, last century. We ll have to see.
