GLOVERSVILLE Several dozen Nathan Littauer Hospital & Nursing Home staffers recently received their first doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
A total of 57 healthcare workers from Nathan Littauer traveled to the “hub” vaccine location for the Mohawk Valley region in Utica on Dec. 23 to receive their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.
The vaccine was the first in the nation to receive emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention earlier this month and was recommended for use by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.
