Labourer in court for allegedly stealing building materials

The Police on Monday arraigned a labourer, Francis Agianpuye, in a Grade 1 Area Court, Mpape, Abuja, for allegedly stealing building materials.
The value of the allegedly stolen materials has yet to be ascertained but the police have charged the accused who resides around the New Market, Lokogoma, Abuja with a one-count charge of theft.
The Judge, Mr Salihu Ibrahim, admitted the accused bail to a bail of N700,000 and ordered him to produce one “reasonable and reliable surety’’ who must reside within the court’s jurisdiction.

A Grade I Area Court in Nyanya Abuja, on Monday, sentenced an applicant, Abubakar Adamu, to six months imprisonment for attempting to steal a Toyota Highlander.
Delivering judgment, the judge, Yahaya Sheshi, gave Adamu an option to pay N10,000 fine after he pleaded guilty.
Earlier, the prosecution counsel, Stanley Nwaforaku, told the court that the complainant, Okobi Jacob, parked his Toyota Highlander at the FCDA parking lot and went into his office.
He said Adamu, used a master key with the intention to commit an offence of theft, adding that the police found the suspected master key at the scene of the crime.
