MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) Those who visit select correctional facilities in Wisconsin can get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Wisconsin Department of Corrections is offering free vaccinations to those eligible at six of its facilities. The offer comes following the return of in-person visits, which resumed on July 6 after being suspended due to the pandemic.
“We want to make it as easy as possible for the people of Wisconsin to become vaccinated against COVID-19,” DOC Secretary Kevin Carr said in a news release. “The ease of availability, having vaccine available at a site to which you are already travelling, is something this administration hopes people do not pass up.”
