Immediate notice of accident
The accident occurred Sunday night on Providence Boulevard near Market Street. Surveillance video showed the truck crossed several lanes and drove in front of Carter s motorcycle. It also showed the truck driver fleeing the scene as other motorcycle riders stopped in the middle of the road and ran to aid Carter.
He was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. According to family, he suffered several broken bones and a stroke.
The gray Ford F-150 truck was located the next day at Johnson s Do It Yourself Garage auto repair shop on College Street.
His family started a GoFundMe page to cover his medical expenses.
