Kindred’s pitching was too much for the Valley City Kings to handle as they lose 10-1. They were only able to get four hits in their third loss of the season.
Kindred’s starting pitcher Stanley Belaskie had a masterful outing. The right-hander went four innings and allowed just one earned run, two walks, two hits with two strikeouts. Right-handed reliever Riley Sunram came in and finished the job in the final three innings not allowing a run and also gave up just two walks and two hits with four strikeouts.
The Kings fell behind early and were unable to recover as they gave up five runs in the bottom of the first. Right-handed pitcher Kai Kringlie did all he could in relief and pitched well striking out seven batters while giving up four walks, five hits, and three earned runs in five-and-two-thirds innings.
