Just when you thought 2020 might run out of surprises we are created with one of the most bizarre days in memory. Im 62, grew up in the bay area and never seen anything like it. Headlights on noontime, ash falling from the sky and body clocks wrist disrupted. For some, a sense of being completely out of sync. The dark sky during the daytime had folks grabbing their cameras. Ktvu was flooded with pictures from our viewers. Photographer kevin shane sent this picture from the embarcadero in San Francisco. And john warren sent this this picture from the Golden Gate National conservancy. It was taken on alcatraz island. You can see there is San Francisco completely disappearing in the background. Havent seen those high winds. Is that going to remain the case . It looks like it will for at least a little while longer. Right now as we track the Current Conditions in napa county, look at how hot it is though even though we dont have much of a wind, this really makes it hard for those crews out there when temperatures are already at 91 degrees. And at least once again, as we said, the winds are calm, but the humidity also continues to drop from this morning. The air is getting drier, which also helps those flames spread faster. As we look at what caused those fires, the lightning and all of that moisture that was streaming through the bay area. That has moved farther to the north. We do some unhealthy air in the east bay. More than a dozen fires are raging in every bay area county but San Francisco. Cal fire has grouped them by region to the north the lnu lightning complex fire. In the east way, the scu lightning complex fire. And to the south, the czu august fire. And across the state cal fire today there are more than 60 fires that started because of lightning strikes this week. Cal fire tonight says there is extreme fire behavior. Fires burning in four north bay counties. Napa, sonoma, solano and lake. Seven fires have burned a total of 14 h. 124,000 acres. The most destructive started in napa and pushed deep into Solano County today. In the east bay, a disastrous combination of dry fuel, gusty wind and hilly terrain fires in alameda, contracosta and santa clara counties could explode in size. Burning at least 102,000 acres. New Evacuation Order have been issued tonight for residents east of san joses city limits. Residents of coastal communities all the way south to davenport and Santa Cruz County h
