Human trafficking bust nets 64 arrests
The Turlock Police Department took part in the statewide Operation Rebuild and Reclaim that resulted in 64 arrests for human trafficking and other offenses.
In total, the statewide operation, which was conducted over seven days, led to the arrest of 450 individuals and the rescue of 39 victims, including 13 minors.
In Stanislaus County the operation was conducted Jan. 28 and Jan. 29.
The Turlock Special Investigations Unit made 13 of the 64 arrests. One arrest was of a man who solicited an undercover officer who was posing as an underage female for sexual acts. Another arrest was made of a man for sex crimes, weapon violations and illegal narcotics sales after he was found in possession of two firearms and a large amount of illegal narcotics.
