Foundry Wharf THE designer of the recently finished development of care apartments for over-55s has welcomed the completion of the project. Architects Brock Carmichael completed work on the flagship Foundry Wharf scheme for the Torus Group in St Helens. The Star reported as St Helens Council welcomed the project s completion in March. One of the largest developments in St Helens, the building, off Atlas Street, is a focal point on entry to the town centre and was complimented by the local planning authority for its contemporary appearance and high quality materials. Foundry Wharf comprises of 130 extra care homes for the over 55s, 109 one-bedroom and 21 two-bedroom apartments built to a high specification. All the apartments have full or Juliet balconies.
