GREENVILLE The Darke County Board of Commissioners met Monday afternoon to discuss various upcoming construction projects throughout the county. Commissioners Matt Aultman and Larry Holmes were present. Mike Stegall was absent.
To start, the board unsealed and received bids from six different contractors for a detention pond pipe outlet replacement in Union City. Due to the project being classified as critical infrastructure, part of it will be funded through the Ohio Development Services Agency; in addition, the county has committed some revolving loan funds and Union City is contributing $35,000 for the proposal. The current estimate for the project is $288,500. The unsealed bids are to be reviewed by Union City Village Council and Motes & Associates, which is engineering the project.
