Article content Canmore RCMP were dispatched to a collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist at the intersection of Bow Valley Trail and Railway Avenue in the early morning of April 21. An eastbound vehicle was turning right from Railway Avenue onto Bow Valley Trail southbound with the green light when it struck a 14 year old female who was riding her bicycle westbound across Bow Valley Trail in the crosswalk. Collision at Bow Valley Trail intersection as construction continues Back to video “The walk sign was activated for the crosswalk and a pedestrian walking near the bicyclist was also nearly struck by the vehicle,” said Sgt. Stan Andronyk. “It is possible that sun glare affected the vehicle driver’s ability to see the bicyclist and pedestrian in the crosswalk. Injuries to the bicyclist were minor in nature.”
