Stamford police make arrest in attempted Christmas home invasion

STAMFORD Police have charged a man in an attempted home invasion that took place early on Christmas Day, officials say.
In a release, police said Bartosz Kurpiecki, a 30-year-old Stamford resident, was arrested and charged with criminal attempt at home invasion, criminal attempt at first-degree burglary, possession of a facsimile firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of burglary tools, assault on a police officer, interfering with police, third-degree criminal mischief, violation of conditions of release and violation of protective order.

STAMFORD, CT A woman is charged with first-degree manslaughter after she is accused of stabbing a man who would later die from his injuries at a local hospital, police said.
At 3:14 a.m. Saturday police responded to a Montauk Drive residence for a report of a male in the home causing a disturbance and refusing to leave, police said.
As police were on their way they received another call from the woman who said she had stabbed the man, police said.
