This claim is false: Indonesia’s military confirmed all the submarine’s crew members died after the remains of the destroyed submarine were discovered on the seafloor in waters off Bali on April 25, 2021.
The claim was shared on Facebook on April 22, 2021.
The post’s Indonesian-language caption translates to English as: “Praise be to God, Submarine Nanggal 402 Has Been Found ALL SURVIVE.”

A missing submarine has been found cracked apart on the seabed in waters off Bali, the military said, as it confirmed that all 53 crew perished in the disaster.
Authorities said that they received signals from the location more than 800m (2,600 feet) deep early yesterday morning. They had used an underwater submarine rescue vehicle supplied by Singapore to get a visual confirmation of the KRI Nanggala 402.
More parts from the vessel were also retrieved, including an anchor and safety suits worn by crew members, they said.
