ONE of Llanfyllin’s largest employers says discussions are ongoing about the future of its factory amid hopes it could yet be rescued. Stadco, a car parts manufacturer with a base in Ffordd Y Cain, said its Powys site continues to operate supplying customers as discussions continue about the future of the site. The future of the operation remains in doubt after the company announced plans to close last year – but town mayor Peter Lewis said the factory remained busy. The Stadco spokesman said: “Stadco Powys, a manufacturing division of Magna International Inc.’s Cosma International operating unit, continues to operate in support of our customers.
