A conservative public policy think tank in Arizona is suing the Department of Education over the unprecedented $37.7 million fine it levied against the largest Christian university in the U.S.
The Goldwater Institute said Wednesday it’s suing the US Department of Education under the Freedom of Information Act. The records sought relate to the department’s investigation and nearly $38 million fine of Grand Canyon University last year.GCU is appealing the fine and denies misleading students about the cost of graduate programs.
