On the last day of its term, the Supreme Court delivered a victory for those who support commonsense election integrity measures.
The 6-to-3 result in Brnovich v. DNC was the right decision, though the three dissenting justices didn’t see it that way.

Floodplain management and pipe needed for improved drainage at the Pratt Industrial Park topped the Pratt City Commission agenda at their regular meeting Monday, May 3 at City Hall Commission Chambers.
Mayor Gary Schmidt presided with Commissioners Zach Deeds, Jeanette Siemens, Don Peters and Kyle Farmers all in attendance.
Lola Shumway, who oversees floodplain management for the city, reviewed with commissioners the proposed 21-page floodplain management ordinance, which was unanimously adopted.
Shumway said that the city’s rating will remain at the save level with a ranking of seven, which is a factor in flood insurance rates for property owners.
OBITUARY: Judy McLeod Meadors Michelet, 1939-2021
Murlene, better known as “Judy,” was born on September 18,
1939 to Bruce and Gertrude McLeod. She passed away, surrounded by her
family, on February 8, 2021. Judy, and her sister Jacquie, were blessed to be raised on the
McLeod Dairy in Fortuna and were always surrounded by a large and
loving family. Judy enjoyed helping with chores around the dairy but
loved to explore and play even more. On any given day you could find
Judy riding along during milk deliveries through town, swinging from
a swing her father built, climbing in trees, or begging to drive

Pratt will be bursting with fun October 8, 9, and 10, 2021, when the “(Back to) Pratt Jamboree” weekend brings former Prattans back to town to celebrate Pratt with current residents.
The (Back to) Pratt Jamboree started with the Pratt High School class of 1981 planning its 40th reunion and has grown into a committee of volunteers of all ages from all Pratt-area schools.
According to event organizers, the (Back to) Pratt Jamboree, or Pratt Jam, is being planned as a weekend of free events that will:
· be a focal point for the community;
· bring back hundreds of past Pratt residents and their families, including alumni from Skyline High School, Pratt High School and Pratt Community College;
