No shirts, no shoes, no regrets.
Jennifer Jason Leigh is reflecting on the enduring legacy of 1982â²s âFast Times at Ridgemont Highâ and which song from the landmark film still makes her feel âexposed.â
âWell, it was a funny thing because we were all so young when we made it. And then it came out and it was this big hit, you know, where youâd go to the theater and people would say the lines with it, and people had obviously seen the movie over and over again,â Leigh, 59, who starred as Stacy Hamilton, told the Daily News last week while promoting Apple TV+âs âLiseyâs Story,â hitting the streamer next month.

The series - titled
Fast Times - was based on the hugely successful 1982 movie. In its favor, the sitcom brought along several key creative minds who were behind the original film.
Amy Heckerling, who directed the movie, served as a producer on the series: she also directed three of the first four episodes. Cameron Crowe, who wrote the original
Fast Times screenplay, as well as the novel it was based on, served as a creative consultant for the show. Further notable contributors to the series included Moon Unit Zappa - daughter of Frank Zappa - who served as a technical consultant, and Oingo Boingo, the Danny Elfman-fronted new wave group that provided the show’s theme song.
