I know the Community Process and the work at supervisor cohens office and i have seen it firsthand as my office doing the San Francisco reservoir at the same time and i think its tremendous. The ability to connect that part of the city that is really now starting to emerge i think is a really unique opportunity at this time and these projects come up in opportunity. I do want to ask, i know sometimes there is contentious battles on Affordable Housing on the sites. I know they considered landmarking the cottage and also building 200 units 50 percent Affordable Housing. I know the neighborhood has gone through various discussions on this. I see equity as having open space for low income southeast neighborhood, but i know that housing is such a big goal. Opportunity to create from concrete and chain link fence a brand new park in our city. These opportunities dont come very often. To me its a once in a lifetime opportunity. To me its a collaboration with a working group. Weve had numerous working community and involvement of the park. Once it was acquired hundreds of people turned up for these Community Meetings and it was incredibly inspiring at the time. Once this gets approved well have many of those to get an idea of what this park will finally look like. Weve been involved with our city agency given that its own by the Public Utilities commission right now. I want to thank kelly and juliette and Scott Harrington about what it would take. Its been a long long road and countless hours of work inside of city hall not to mention whats been done outside with our neighborhood working groups.
