Due to the nature of the 2020 Nevada voting procedure, which included a large number of mail-in ballots, these results are not final until June 16th. Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by today, June 9, 2020, to be counted. The clerk s office must receive the postmarked ballots by June 16, 2020 when the results will be finalized.
The featured speaker at Monday s Democratic luncheon be Stacie Wilke-McCulloch, candidate for Carson City Clerk-Recorder. She represented District 3 on the Carson City School District Board of Trustees twice, from 1999 to 2003 and again from 2009 to present.
The League of Women Voters of Northern Nevada, in partnership with Sierra Nevada Forums and AAUW Capital NV Branch, will present a series of election forums on October 7, 10, 11 and 17 beginning at 6 pm each night at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 511 W. King St in Carson City. Doors open at 5:30 pm.
The Carson City School District is pleased to announce the most recent Nevada Association of School Boards Award winners. Trustee Lupe Ramirez was honored as the 2020 NASB New School Board Member of the Year and Mrs. Renae Cortez was honored as the NASB 2020 Administrative Assistant of the Year.
The candidates forum put on Tuesday night by the Carson City Chamber of Commerce allowed the seven people running for Carson City Supervisor to define where they each stand on local issues. The candidates included current Ward 4 Supervisor Molly Walt, and the two other people running for that seat, Jim Shirk and Amy Clemens.
