So many negative comments abound, especially on social media, about the situation at Laurentian University that some important elements are getting lost in the insults and shouting.
From a longer-term perspective, we should be asking what has Laurentian done for Sudbury. Let me start with some straightforward questions:
Would the regreening, of which Sudburians are so proud, have been possible without the expertise of Laurentian biologists like Keith Winterhalder, cooperating with the city (of course, the main impetus was thousands of unemployed)?
