Black Restaurant Week highlights six Las Vegas restaurants with special menus

Black Restaurant Week comes to Las Vegas through March 21, showcasing six local restaurants and highlighting reviving and saving the Black restaurant industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. The restaurants offer prix-fixe brunch, lunch, and dinner menus. Pots, the Egyptian restaurant from Iman Haggag, has a shawarma combo with crispy cauliflower shawarma sandwich, Egyptian fries, and a choice of karkadeh (hibiscus extract tea) or iced tea for $14.95 at her restaurant on South Rainbow Boulevard. Simply Pure by chef Stacey Dougan in the Downtown Container Park offers vegan and vegetarian fare. For Black Restaurant Week, diners can order a nacho grande with lime corn chips, vegan protein beef, cheddar cheese sauce, scallions, sour cream, and pico de gallo for $7.95 for a half order or $12.95 for a full order.
