Schofield considering potential move of City Hall By Liz Holbrook
SCHOFIELD, WI (WSAU) A local principality may move their City Hall to a new building.
Schofield Mayor Kregg Hoehn requested a meeting of the City’s Public Property Committee for Wednesday night to begin the discussion of moving City Hall. Currently, Schofield’s City Hall resides at 200 Park Street near Schofield Park and St Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The discussion of moving City Hall is in its preliminary phase according to Public Property Committee Chair and Ward 2 Supervisor Jeffrey Pansch. He believes the City is likely looking at moving City Hall into the newer Public Works building. “It’s just being fiscally responsible to the people in our community. You know what I mean? Keeping our taxes down. And to me, it makes no sense to operate out of two buildings.”
