A PLOT of land worth £5.9m providing a new development opportunity for student accommodation has gone on sale. Olleco, Royal Crescent Road in Bargate, has been advertised as for sale for £5,950,000 and planning permission has already been granted for 456-bedroom student accommodation. But the sale has been met with concern from local councillors who say that the two-year-old planning permission needs to be assessed again. The land is situated next to Solent University hall of residents and is a few minutes from both of the city s universities. Planning permission has already been granted and there are a total of 456 bedrooms over five to 10 storeys.
