Turncoat Distillery s Terry Langton and his team were elated when they threw open the doors to the firm s first gin bar on February 7, 2020, located in the basement below Revolución de Cuba at the Royal Albert Dock.

Liverpool Theatre Festival is returning to the Bombed Out Church A sister festival focusing solely on new work has also been announced as part of Liverpool Theatre Festival 08:47, 1 APR 2021 Updated Liverpool Theatre Festival 2020 (Image: David Munn Photography) Liverpool Theatre Festival will return to St Luke s Bombed Out Church for a second year after being one of the few theatrical events to take place in 2020. The outdoor festival was created by theatre producer Bill Elms after venues nationwide closed their doors in March as part of the Coronavirus lockdown. It gave actors, writers and technicians much needed work at a time when their income had been suddenly cut off - as well as bringing entertainment to audiences who had been unable to attend a theatre production for many months.
