MAY 10, 2021
The Christian Council of Ghana has expressed disappointment in a comment made by the Spokesperson of the National Chief Imam Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaibu to the effect that religious tolerance in Ghana is a façade.
General Secretary of the Christian Council, Rev. Dr. Cyril Fayose told TV3’s Emmanuel Samani on the Mid Day news on TV3 Monday May 10 that the religious tolerance among Christians and Muslims in Ghana is not a façade but one that has been the envy of many around the world hence, no need to make utterances that have the propensity of jeopardizing this relationship.
The spokesperson of the National Chief Imam, Sheik Aremeyaw Shaibu has expressed concerns over what he describes as gang up against Muslims by big Christian organizations in Ghana.
It is with great sadness that we report that our colleague, Tim Francis, passed away on 15 February following a very sudden cancer diagnosis. Tim spent 15 years at Plexus in the professional indemnity and property risks teams. During his time with us he built close working relationships with a number of colleagues, who came to like and respect him very much both as a team member and friend. His door was always open to guide, help, and support junior colleagues who appreciated everything he did for them.
Tim was known for his dry sense of humour and friendliness. He was an excellent lawyer who was well regarded by all his clients. We have been deeply touched by the many messages of condolences from colleagues and clients alike which bears testimony to how well Tim was respected.

Several San Antonio-area warming centers have opened for people without power in freezing temperatures.
A map of the centers, maintained by the Texas Division of Emergency Management, shows only one San Antonio location: the Henry B. González Convention Center, which provided shelter and San Antonio Food Bank meals to 220 people overnight.
However, there are other places to seek shelter and warmth Thursday with temperatures expected to remain near freezing.
Officials are urging the community to stay home and off the roads. The return of winter precipitation Thursday morning made roadways dangerous and unpredictable, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
