Pickup Flips Onto Roof in St. Cloud Crash
ST. CLOUD Only minor injuries were reported in a crash where a pickup ended up on its roof.
St. Cloud police say the incident happened Wednesday at about 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of 54th Avenue North and Veterans Drive.
Police say 32-year-old
Leah Kramer of Sartell was driving north on 54the Avenue in her truck when she went through the intersection on a red light.
A car driven by a 27-year-old St. Cloud man was going west.
The pickup hit the car on its passenger side causing the truck to flip on its side.
St. Cloud Looking to Hire Full Time Auto Theft Investigator
ST. CLOUD St. Cloud is looking to hire a full-time auto theft investigator. During Monday s meeting, the city council will be asked to approve a grant for $100,000 from the Minnesota Department of Commerce.
The city has seen an increase in vehicle thefts and this grant-funded position would allow an investigator to solely focus on reducing the thefts as well as provide education to residents on how they can help.
According to the St. Cloud Police Department s Calls for Service reports, there have been 106 vehicles stolen in the city through April of this year, including 36 in January and 33 in February.
Police Respond to Knife Fight in South St. Cloud
There were multiple people involved and at least one of the males had a knife.
Police located a 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy who had been involved in the fight. Both were taken to St. Cloud Hospital and treated for minor non-life-threatening injuries.
The others involved in the fight have not been located yet, and the case is still being investigated. No other information has been released by the police at this time.

Police: Woman Used Car, Taser in South Side Assault
ST. CLOUD St. Cloud police were called to the 1000 block of 6th Avenue South just before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday on a report of a large group of people involved in a fight.
Multiple St. Cloud Police Officers arrived on the scene and were able to separate the people involved in the fight.
During the investigation, police say 19-year-old
Arianna Phipps of St. Cloud had attempted to strike two people with her vehicle a short time before this incident. Arianna located the victims, that she had tried to hit with her vehicle, in a parking lot, got out of her vehicle, and started to physically assault them. Arianna also allegedly used a Taser during the assault.
