Those high winds today caused some minor damage in parts of lexington countywhere there were several reports of trees down. Our mike desumma is live along Mineral Springs road where a downed tree is still causing some problems. Here you can see crews are still busy trying to fix what the tree did. It fell across the road landing on some power lines causing lines causing them to droop. At one point the road was closed but now its back open. At last check there are more without power. Traffic is down to one lane out it was a close call for a taxi driver this afternoon in columbiawhen a large tree limb broke off and smashed into his windshield. This happened along millwood avenue near the epworth childrens home. The driver said he believes the high winds caused the branch to break off. He says hes lucky to be aliveas that branch left his cab a wreck. Crews were out cleaning up and removing the branch a short time later, and the car was towed away.
