scientists. it s the work of federal scientists who start this work and put it out no matter who s in charge. the people i talked to said there was a calculation, a discussion. because they would have they could have gone in and tried to change the conclusion. that would have been toxic if it was found. they also could have tried to soften some of the overall language. there s an introduction meant to be read by the general public. they could have tinkered with it. that gave a softer, not quite as stark or alarming overall take. they didn t even do that. a lot of the scientists said absolutely, you know, they didn t no one came in and messed with us. an administration that has been seen trying to surprise or tamper or change climate science. they said this is an example where they absolutely did not do
campaign season, the president is not looking to court women, he s going pack to try to motivate his base. i think he s recognized that the house is gone largely. what do you think the softer was about? i don t know. maybe somebody talked to him right before he got onstage. but i don t think, you know, you look at the immigration ad, maybe not the greatest ad to run because of this network and others thought it wasn t but it sure motivated the base. it motivated folks that were not coming out and now they re coming out. if you see these seats in pennsylvania, like senator santorum was talking about, the scott perry, a lot of these guys on the bubble in these pretty republican plus two districts, if they hang on, it s districtly because of the president. but does it have a cost in sending some independents in some see arekey areas away. in the philly suburbs, suburban western aren t coming out to vote for the president no matter how warm and fuzzy he was. that s exactly right.
how long i would like to be in this business. are there days when you think, what am i doing? yeah. there are a lot more days saying, the mission here is critical. and to be able to be a part of it, be able to feel like you re giving something back to your country, it s a reward. not necessarily a financial reward, but a reward that doesn t come from just a softer, softer job or more income. so i just as long as i m able to have the ability to seek the truth and speak the truth, i m on board. you are a member [ applause ] please. you were a member of the senate. i covered congress in years past
