The Serbian ambassador to Bulgaria was summoned by the Bulgarian foreign ministry on Friday for “the anti-Bulgarian and occasionally racist behaviour of university Professor Dragan Simeunovic,” the Bulgarian Bgnes agency (bgnesagency.com) has reported.
“The Serbian ambassador to Bulgaria, Željko Jović, was invited on 5 February for an emergency meeting at the ministry of foreign affairs,” for offensive statements by the Belgrade professor, who teaches at the Faculty of Political Science and helms the government’s National Security Academy, the news agency added.
As a guest on the show called Srpski Svet, Professor Simeunović repeatedly described Bulgarians as “beasts who kill everyone in their way,” Bgnes reported.
