Self-proclaimed BJP leader Shrikant Tyagi, who was arrested on Tuesday for abusing and assaulting a woman at his housing society in Noida, has been sent to 14-day judicial custody.
Shrikant Tyagi, who was arrested by Uttar Pradesh Police for allegedly abusing and assaulting a woman in Noida, on Tuesday said that woman was like her sister and that a conspiracy was hatched to "politically decimate" him.
Arrested Shrikant Tyagi was using an MLA sticker on his car which was allegedly given by Uttar Pradesh MLC Swami Prasad Maurya who revealed this during police interrogation as the matter is being probed, Noida Police said.
