The pelican signals play a significant role in ensuring the safety of pedestrians while facilitating efficient traffic flow. These signals are equipped with traffic lights and push-button controls that allow pedestrians to signal their intent to cross the road.
Giving a report on the ridership on Day Two, BMRCL (Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited) MD Anjum Parvez said: “As of 3 pm, we recorded over 10,000 ridership. And it is expected to cross 20,000 at the end of the day.
The 13.71 km stretch from Whitefield (Kadugodi) Metro to Krishnarajapura (KR Puram) Metro Line of the Reach-1 extension project will be inaugurated by Modi at Whitefield (Kadugodi) Metro Station at around 1 pm. He will also undertake a ride in the metro.
