According to reports, construction of the hospital is to be completed with the next 24 hours and it will be used to treat patients infected with the coronavirus. The emergency medical facility is made up of several isolation wards and it can hold up to 1,200 patients at any given time. Recently, Sri Lanka Army Commander General Shavendra Silva told a meeting at the NOCPCO that the Army will get 10,000 new beds to hospitals, and similarly the Army Seva Vanitha Unit after converting a building to be a Care Centre will provide 1200 more beds.
