FORT COLLINS Square Comp, an early stage virtual reality technology company based out of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, will make Fort Collins its new U.S. headquarters, the company announced Thursday in a news release. The move would bring 54 net new full-time jobs to the city spread across management, software and web development and operations positions. Fort Collins was chosen over the California Bay Area, according to the release. Square Comp manufactures customizable VR training platforms for manufacturing companies. By allowing companies to train new employees in a VR simulation of the company’s production floor, Square Comp’s technology aims to provide a safer, faster training environment. 

Colorado: Square Comp Selects Fort Collins for Its US Headquarters

DENVER, CO (STL.News) Square Comp, an early-stage, Indian technology company, has announced Fort Collins, Colorado as the home of its new US headquarters.  They first became acquainted with Colorado during Governor Jared Polis’ trade mission to India in November 2019. “Good-paying jobs continue to expand across our Front Range tech corridor from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins,” said Governor Jared Polis.  “Square Comp is a great addition to Fort Collins and Colorado continues to feel the economic benefit of my first Foreign Direct Investment mission to India in 2019.” Square Comp offers a customizable virtual reality platform designed for manufacturing companies’ training purposes.  The start-up provides its clients with a customized virtual reality training curriculum that immerses its clients’ production-floor employees in an environment similar to that of the company’s actual production floor.  The platform allows employees to train and learn the company

New VR training company puts U S HQ in Fort Collins

Just two weeks after Colorado offered it job tax credits, Square Comp announced it’s locating its U.S. headquarters in Fort Collins and creating more than 50 jobs. The early-stage Indian technology company develops virtual reality training for manufacturing companies. Fort Collins beat out the other location in California. The company’s flagship technology, GRAHA’s VR, “offers virtual reality-based technical training solutions to manufacturing companies for the up-skilling and reskilling of their blue-collar workforce.” The training is supposed to be safer and doesn’t require downtime on production lines. Founded in 2018, Square Comp is based in Chennai, India. The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade offered the company up to $494,747 in performance-based job tax credits meaning they don’t get the money until the hires are onboarded. Square Comp has eight years to make the hires.
