Susan Bishop has just about had enough. After more than a year of dining at home with her husband, either ordering takeout or picking up something from the grocery store, she said she’s finally ready to sit down in a real restaurant and be waited on, without fear.
“I got my first COVID shot last week, and this will be the first time I’ve eaten out since probably last March. It feels good but weird, if that makes any sense. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit nervous,” said Bishop, as she waited for her husband outside of Spunky McDoogle’s in New Bern Wednesday.
