the fact is, my concern when the president apologized so quickly, it gives the opinion to the afghans in the streets that the u.s. did this on purpose, that s why the president of the united states apologized. i m like you and i agree with ralph. after 10 years would you have thought we were further along. but one of the problems in the 10 years our strategy, that s a failed strategy. thinking we can win hearts and mind against this culture, against this group of people at this time. so i think we have gone a bridge too far in what or goals in winning hearts and mind are. we don t have a good what we call an operations command that lays out the plan that we want to use to counter. in other words, the old psy-ops
