Gov. Tony Evers announces the allocation of $170 million in federal funding to extend the Child Care Counts program, aimed at addressing the workforce challenges of accessible and affordable child care in Wisconsin. However, concerns remain about the long-term sustainability of the program once the federal funding runs out.
In conjunction with A Day Without Child Care, 95th Assembly Representative Jill Billings stopped in La Crosse to highlight the need for funding childcare facilities across the state.
