Wahlburgers plans to open its new location at MGM Springfield by the end of this month, the casino’s management told state regulators Thursday.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission unanimously approved an extension of the casino’s liquor license to include the 4,500-square-foot restaurant.
The restaurant has stood completed on casino property at the corner of Main and Union streets for nearly a year, its opening delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
MGM’s liquor licenses for its bars and restaurants are granted through the state Gaming Commission. Wahlburgers, based in Hingham, is a jointly responsible entity under the license.
