Police reported Monday they have charged an individual with organizing an illegal gathering at Bellevue Park Saturday.
The person, from Spring Water Township, near Barrie, Ont., was also charged with organizing a May 8 anti-lockdown protest at the east end park.

A conviction for organizing an illegal gathering will result in a minimum fine of $10,000.
While at Saturdayâs protest, police charged eight people, also under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMCPA), for attending an illegal gathering. A conviction for violating the EMCPA will result in a fine of $750.
