Officials are urging everyone living in the Spring Valley and new long valley areas to leave immediately. Also new mandatory evacuations in eastern santa rosa, the Sonoma County Sheriffs Office says you must leave immediately if you live in the following areas highway 12 between adobe canyon road in kenwood and calistoga road in santa rosa. This includes both sides of highway 12, skyhawk,wk,wk,wk,wk, hawk and much of rincon county. Also 7th street east from east napa street to denmark street. Good morning, everyone, im chris nguyen. Breakdo breaking news, there are new mandatory Evacuation Orders. Abc 7s Cornell Barnard joins us at napa street and victoria road in Sonoma County. Youre joined by a cal fire spokesperson. Reporter i am, chris, well talk to him in just a moment. This firefight gets ever more serious as the morning progressio progresses. This is one of the more heavy fires in the northeast section of the Sonoma County. Its been made worse by the winds that continue to pick up this morning. Smoke and flames certainly now visible from all parts of the Sonoma Valley. As we pan to the left, Patrick Sedillo, we can see fire on this other ridge, north as the crow flies, north of the town of sonoma. Were about three miles from the sonoma town square. But heavy fuels up there on the ridge, as a firefighter just pointed out to me. To the left, we have another fire burning in the sonoma valley. We see a big header of smoke right there, that is another fire in the northeast section of the ridge above the sonoma valley. So two major fires burning here. Than a half inch, and then quickly progresses to a 2 with heavy downpours and increasing rain and wind, and then we will see a 3 on the storm impact scale where heavy rain arrives overnight tonight into tomorrow, and strong and gusty winds. The temperature is mild, so with the winter storm warning in effect we are looking at higher snow selvf levels, and by 10 00 11 00, you can see the rain increasing here across most of the neighborhoods. We will talk about totals and where you can see some of the flooding coming up. We have breaking news out of oakland. Chp is looking for a suspect who fired shots near officers this morning. It happened just before 2 00 a. M. On interstate 580 near 98th avenue, and officers said they stopped a driver for a possible dui when somebody opened fire close to them. They shut down the freeway in both directions while they searched for the suspect but only found shell casings. All lanes were back open by 4 00 this morning. The chp does not have a description
