Peoria offers lots of outdoor recreational activities despite COVID

PEORIA    Winter in Peoria without inside dining or indoor activities might seem like a drag, but, in reality, there are a lot of things to do in the River City. Whether it s hiking, biking, skiing or sledding, the area has some hidden gems to enjoy.  A few caveats: COVID-19 has changed a lot of things, so before you go, check each location s website. Second, use social media to find groups or associations that focus on an activity. Into mountain biking? Look up the Peoria Area Mountain Bike Association. Want to know about running? The Illinois Valley Striders is a good resource. But there are other groups as well. Look around, make friends, and have fun.
