A former director of Netball Australia has accused the sport’s national governing body of sidelining her from board deliberations and concealing from stakeholders its parlous financial position after she warned it was at risk of insolvency.
A Federal Court claim lodged by Cheryl McCormack lifts the lid on a bitter dispute at the highest level of the sport, with Netball Australia accused of breaching anti-discrimination and corporations laws by forcing her to take leave, cutting her off from board correspondence and effectively removing her as a director.
